Of course, your choice of fabric can be just as important as color and other visual design elements. Just like our other clothes, our kids’ t-shirts are available in a range of materials, including polyester, cotton, and poly-cotton blends, all of which have their own advantages. For example, as well as being made from natural fibres, Wordans’ kids’ and adults’ 100% cotton t-shirts are all soft, breathable, and comfortable. This makes cotton a good choice for sporty and other physically active kids.
On the other hand, polyester is available with special treatments such as moisture wicking, which moves moisture away from the skin and to the outside of the t-shirt through a process known as capillary action. This makes t-shirts with water wicking another good option for kids who spend their time doing things that are likely to work up a sweat.
As well as the choice of fabric and treatment, you might also want to consider the weight of the t-shirts you’re buying. Lighter t-shirts may be preferred by some, but slightly heavier t-shirts with thicker fabrics can be longer lasting, which again could be important depending on what activities they’ll be used for.
